RedHawk Records offers a full-service recording studio, located in the Sierra foothills of Northern California just 30 minutes from Sacramento.

If you would like to visit the studio first hand we will help make arrangements for you to fly in for a day trip to confirm that RedHawk Records is the right choice for your project. Transportation is available to and from the Sacramento airport, which is between 30 to 45 minutes away depending on traffic and mode of travel.

Specializing in the art of multi-track recording, our studio uses both digital and analog technology to capture music. Frank Hannon learned very early age how to record using a basic 4 track tape machine to record the early demo tapes that got TESLA their recording contract back in 1984, and has worked in many world class studios such as Fantasy, Record Plant, Cherokee, Bearsville, Power Station just to name a few.

Taking design notes along the way, our label's recording studio is a culmination of all these studios combined. The true art to recording is "listening" and over dubbing textures to complement each other is what multi - tracking is all about. The studio uses a (Trident) TOFT 32 channel audio console and various other class A Mic preamps, LA 2A compressors and Pro Tools as well as implementing real "live" ambient room textures to the sound of authentic instruments using vintage microphones.

A producer's role to a band in the studio is like a coach's role to a successful team on the field...an outsider's perspective giving objective artistic feedback to help the artist create their best recording. Working with some of the best producers over the years such as Terry Thomas, Steve Thompson and Michael Barbiero, Roy Thomas Baker, Max Norman Chas Sanford, Ronnie Montrose, and various others, has given Frank Hannon the experience to co produce Tesla's "Into The Now" album and many local artist demos of the years.

Mastering services are available to clients who already have mixes completed or to projects recorded by us. This would include leveling tracks and cross fading sequencing and editing to create a solid master disc ready to be duplicated.
